While I'm not suggesting producing hardware for the //c anymore, I don't
agree
that the IIgs is the 'only way to go' as far as putting a II to use. I
much prefer
an accelerated platinum IIe for AppleWorksing to a GS, accelerated or
not.

Honestly, nobody who's thinking logically puts a 10+ year old obsolete
computer
to any use that actually matters; it's hobbyist domain only. And that
being as it
is, anything goes. If //c's turn you on, //c's it is. If it's //gs's,
that's cool too.
I'll take the //e myself - but it's all just personal preference.

I think we're all here because we think the Apple II (all of them) was a
fantastic
series of machines. Whether the IIgs offers more bang for buck or is a
more logical
choice is irrelevant; it's the warm fuzzy feeling inside that you get
when you fire
up that trusty old II that really counts.
