Thanks Paul.. Yes, the card is merely a "firmware" card. It does not run
any hardware diagnostics, just software diags. Obviously if the card comes up,
then the slots and power are working.
I used to use the Frankln Ace 100 tests that I got as a dealer to test the
memory of the Apple II's. It loaded into the first 4 bytes (it said) and it
was very accurate, and caught every problem. Apple's built-in diagnostics on
the //e was highly innacurate. It would come up with a different bad memory
chip everytime.
