IIc pluses came out in Oct '88 and ROM 3s came out in early/mid '89.
IIgs system 4.0 debuted with the IIc plus and 5.0 at the same time as
5.0. I'm sure everyone recalls how Apple told ROM 01 types that there'd
be no upgrade, just install 5.0.

Righto, some people skipped the VGC swap and just did the ROM.

There were four IIc revs, 16K, 32K/Unidisk, and two memory expandable
versions. The IIe only had unenhanced, enhanced, and grey IIe version.
It had a single CF chip versus a CD chip and an EF chip.

It's '80 or '81 for the original and '84 for the plus.
