Putting a screen saver in ROM would be possible but wouldn't
work from all programs. Anything that uses the standard input
routine would be fine. Modify the input routine to time out and
then save the current text page to auxilary RAM. Then simply
clear the screen. The ROMs on a IIe are pin compatible with
2764 EPROMs and are easy to replace. Actually, I think you can
override the standard input and do this all in RAM as a simple
program you load from either DOS or ProDOS...
