Re: 3.5 drive for //e

You can use the 3.5 UniDisk drive with the "Apple 3.5 Floppy Disk Drive
Interface card" usually referred to as the UniDisk or Liron card

You can also use either the 3.5 UniDisk, platinum 800k drive or Apples
1.44mb (SuperDrive) drives with the "Apple II 3.5" Disk Controller" usually
called the SuperDrive card.

A couple of companies put out a card called the universal disk controller(UDC).
They usually came with a clone of the Mac 800k drive with a manual eject button.
They'd generally use Mac 400k & 800k and Apple 800k platinum drives. Often
the eject button on one or both platinum drives wouldn't function with many of
these cards and you either had to use software or a paper clip to manually eject
disks. Some versions would let you use the 3.5 Unidisk. These cards would also
run 5.25" drives and you could use one 5.25" and one 3.5" drive off the card
or two 5.25" or two 3.5" drives.
