Having Ultima I/gs with documentation available for purchase again
will be nice.

It has been a while since checking out the original; but, my
recollection is that there was a bug near the end which prevents winning
(unless the player knows which blocks to edit).  Just a moment ... Okay;
the bug is/was? the game's failure to place the Time Machine on the map.
My workaround is described in Ultima I/gs file in the game Hints folder
on Tarnover. If the new release fixes this bug, there will be one more
reason to buy it.

Regarding the manuals, be sure to include documentation for Space
Ace combat. (If you like, you can quote the Space Ace Combat information
included in the file mentioned above.)

According to the original manual, Ultima I/gs is copyright 1994 by
Richard Garriot. Are you claiming that Richard Garriot no longer owns
Ultima I/gs?

If Richard still owns the game, and is willing to give up the
valuable free advertising for Origin and the Ultima series which having
the game freely available to users represents, then, he is the one to
issue 'cease & desist' demands.

Concerning demands for removal of "Ultima I" materials, you, of
course, meant to refer to "Ultima I/gs" materials. Regarding these, most
easily fall within the fair use exclusion. For a site presenting game
reviews and/or summaries, the matter is hardly even debatable.

Returning to the matter of Ultima I/gs ownership, have you
considered the damage to Origin and/or Richard Garriot which is likely
to result from your claims and demands? How many buyers of current
Ultima and other Origin products do you suppose are the result of
exposure to the colorful Ultima I pages and 'zine reviews available on
the internet?

As a software seller, your ideas are of interest to users. However,
it may be a good idea to make fewer demands and more suggestions.
