Quick thought here.  You can plug in one modem to another with a standard phone
cord, no need to have two phone lines to do communication.  You will need to be
in the teminal program and be able to issue AT commands to the modems on both
machines.  You will need to do an ATD on one end (ATtention Dial), then ATA on
the other (ATtention Answer).  The two modems will think they called each other
and negotiate speed and error correction if available, etc.  Now send and
recieve files per your modem communications programs instructions.
