The upgrade consists of four chips: 65C02 CPU (should be a non-Rockwell
chip for 100% compatibility), Video ROM for MouseText support, and the
CD and EF ROMs.

I can confirm that 2764s will work for the CD and EF ROMs. For the video
ROM, IIRC a 2764 should work for international //e models, but the
American //e needs a 2732 and an adapter, or a very hard to find chip
which I think was called 2532. But I'm not so sure about that, maybe
somebody else can chime in?
