I don't see it posted here, but Louis asked me via email if the
card would work without the cable attached if he only wanted to
use the Mac's built in drives. The answer is yes, It works just
fine without the cable attached if you have no need for a 5.25"
drive. The software even comes with prodos, so you can boot from
your LCs hard drive. You may still want to use the cable for
attaching a joystick, if you're a game player.

In answer to Blake's question about how well it works: I have
not found any software that works on a IIe that will not work on
the LC card. It's a really neat little toy if you can find one!
