That's the same experience that I've had: the initial "bootstrap" procedure
to get the software on the IIgs or IIe is hard, but once you do, then
everything becomes so much easier. I've been using Contiki 1.3 and the
Uthernet now, with the Web Downloader, to get .shk files from my Mac mini
running the Apache HTTP server, then I quit back to the Finder and use GSHK
to unshrink them. Nice! I get about 14k per second download speed.

Originally what I did, and could still do, is use the desktop G3 running Mac
OS 10.2.8 and OS 9.2.2 with its built-in serial ports to do AppleShare
networking.

The final thing that we need is AppleShare over IP for the IIgs. That would
be really excellent. I would love to be able to use the Uthernet and connect
to the Mac mini with AppleShare.
