     Evidently, somewhere between 5000 - 10,000 were produced. So, they are a
relatively rare Apple II. You see them for sale on places like ebay from time
to time.

     As with most "rare" Apple II items, there seems to be no established
price range. (One reason is that someone is always popping up on Csa2 with a
story about rescuing this or that "rare" item from a school dumpster or
finding a stack of them for $5 each at a thrift shop.)

     Mainly, the max you should pay for the Black Apple-- they are sort of
cool looking-- depends upon how much you want it Now (when you can get your
hands on one and check its condition). If you're willing to wait and shop
around, you can probably get one with a disk drive for less than $50.
