That's pretty much the symbol but the one keyboard I have with it has
it the other way around.  More like this:

Yes, I mean the Display language.  It allows the text display to show
certain characters used in foreign languages.  I have a French
Canadian keyboard that if I set the Display Language to French and the
Keyboard Layout to French Canadian I can type accented letters and
such and they display correctly on the text screen.
