I was looking at an Apple II at Goodwill, which had the manual with it.
Flipping thru the manual, there was a part that mentioned a pin sticking up
back in the right rear area, I think it was related to video. According to
the manual, there was some difference between original and later Apple II's,
and the way to tell them apart was that the newer ones had that pin. I
looked, and it had that pin, so I didn't get it. I wanted the earliest
version, which I don't have.
That's from memory, and you old-timers know a lot more about this than I do,
but I thought I'd mention it as a simple thing to look for.
