     The file wwgs122.bxy is a ShrinkIt .shk archive with some kind of Binary II
header. It downloaded okay to a PC (length 295,424 bytes).  After transferring
via NULL modem to our IIgs, length was 295,203 bytes (i.e. the length of the
file after the header is stripped off during the transfer). GS-ShrinkIt
unshrinked the file fine.

     When the file was transfrerred without stripping off the header it arrived
on the IIgs with the correct length (295,424).  GS-ShrinkIt had no trouble
dealing with the header and unshrinking the file.


     If the downloaded file you get is too large (bigger than 295,424 bytes),
your ftp program may be receiving the file in Text or ASCII mode. (This might
happen if your ftp program is in an "auto" mode and decides a .bxy file is
Text.)  If you force your ftp program to Binary mode, you should get a good
download.

     If the downloaded file is smaller than 295,424 bytes, you may have some
feature enabled which tries to identify a file with a Binary II header and strip
off the header during downloads. Since the header for wwgs122.bxy is an odd
size, some routines could miscalculate and leave you with just a partially
stripped header or a damaged .shk file.

     Disabling any download options which try to deal with Binary II headers
(e.g. a "Binary Down" option) or process the file in some other way could permit
getting a good download.
