Epson printers are backwards compatible, so even the newest Epson Stylus
printer can use old Epson printer drivers. Be aware however that if you
use the Epson FX or MX Print Shop driver with a Stylus, the printed output
will be in color but it'll also look like it came from an old Epson FX or
MX dot-matrix printer.

Harmonie provides full color support for Hewlett-Packard brand inkjets
used with an Apple IIGS.

That's not the case with Epson Stylus printers, and that's the reason
that they are not recommended for use on a IIGS. The most compatible
high quality color printers for the IIGS are the HP DeskJet, and the DJ is
the perfect companion to a IIGS. The Stylus is not.
