The AE GS RAM Ultra maxed out at 4mb. So it seems likely that you
have a ram card version that isn't fully compatible with the IIgs ROM
version you have. Some of the AE cards came with a different PAL
for the apropriate IIgs while some were only made for the ROM 1. You
may be alright for some operations but if the IIgs thinks it has RAM that
sn't there, it'll try to write to the nonexistant RAM location eventually .
