right. sorry I wasn't real specific.
outlook express tries to take anything that might be a URL and create a
hyperlink to it, so it takes "//"
(two slashes) and makes it a link to file:// , while printing that too.
useful, say if it converts abuse@nowhere.com to a link to
mailto:abuse@nowhere.com but otherwise VERY annoying
