Check the link below. There are a couple of good diagnostic disks but I'm
not sure if they will check your modem. Also, you'll need to set up
something like ADT to transfer the disk to your Apple. Read the earlier
posts from last week, or the FAQ to find out about how to do that.

It sounds like you've got a nice system though. Do you have any user or
software manuals? The old Apple manuals were really very good.
