Could you explain how? Paragraph one makes a joke about why Delphi
seems "elistist" and mentions that some of the Delphi regulars no
longer participate here for good reasons and the second paragraph
notes the difference in the message systems between here and Delphi
and states that there are a lot of knowledgeable Apple II people
there. Where is the contradiction?

It is a fact that there are a number of people who are highly
knowledgeable about the Apple II on Delphi. How does knowing that you
are knowledgeable about something make you "elitist"?

It isn't that they think all the people here are against them. They
don't participate here because the people that caused them to leave
are still here and would cause them more grief if they were to come
back. It has nothing to do you with you or many other of the
participants here.

It isn't about respect. It's about LACK of respect which caused the
problems which made some people decide to not hang out here anymore.

Who said anything about keeping the Apple II alive? That is a totally
different topic of conversation. We are talking about Delphi being
"elitist".

However, to throw a comment in on this topic, it is true that
developers aren't the only ones to keep the Apple II alive but they
are the ones that keep the Apple II expanding. This, to me, is far
more important than keeping the machine alive. If it wasn't for the
developers creating new things like Marinetti, my IIgs would start
getting used less and less. It is new developments that keep my
interest and keep me excited about using my Apple II.

Obviously people are totally missing what I'm saying or are
misinterpreting it. The people that participate on Delphi and not
here do so as a personal choice just like many people here choose not
to participate on Delphi. Most of these people chose to stop
participating here because of the abuse, headaches, stress,
irritation, frustration and other things they experienced while they
were here. Some of these people were developers, some just users.
Some people chose to stop participating here because they wanted to
show support for those that were the brunt of the abuse and maybe also
because they no longer wanted to deal with the people who caused the
abuse. There are lots of reasons and these are just a couple
examples.

However, I have yet to find a single person on Delphi that will tell
me they don't participate here because they feel they are better than
the people who use this news group. This would be an elitist attitude
but I have yet to find it.

But here, I see people who are quite happy to say they don't
participate on Delphi simply because they "think" the people on Delphi
are "elitist". This and the fact that people here talk about the
faults of Delphi users quite a bit more than Delphi users talk about
the faults of csa2 users is why I made that joke in my last post.

If you go to Delphi and follow the rules and act like a normal human
being, you will be accepted once people there get to know you. Just
like anywhere new you go in real life.

The people on Delphi aren't trying to be nasty, just like those of you
here that refuse to take part over there aren't trying to be nasty.
There is just a lot of bad history from the past that rubs off on
people even now and causing everyone to be overly sensitive and
cautious.

I hope I covered everything I meant to say and made it clear enough.
