    Heh, reminds me of Apple's edition of the Bose Roommate
speakers that were promoted and sold for the IIGS in 1986.
Believe it or not they were not sheilded and produced a *very* 
strong magnetic field. So strong in fact, placing them next to 
your CRT monitor created that infamous rainbow distortion 
effect on screen (potentially damaging it long term).

    There was even a warning sticker on the side telling 
you not to place floppy diskettes on or near the speakers.
That's one of the reason I've long since banished two
sets of those Bose speakers to the closet. :)
