Peter Watson's MUG! and MS-DOS Tools will both read and
write PC Transporter hard disk images. They are IIGS
programs. MUG! is a new Desk Accessory and MS-DOS
Tools are shell based utilities.

The version on the ground ftp server is the latest version.

Windows 3.0 was the last version that worked on the PCT.
As for PCT software, try the Tarnover ftp site. Celt has
opened an area for the exchange of PCT disk images:

Please upload your hard drive images with freeware
and shareware to this site and check it regularly for
software to download for your PCT.

A BlueDisk controller would be nice. I think someone
might be importing another batch. Check on csa2.

You do not absolutely need disk drives for the PCT.
You can use the disk image format it treats as the
C drive. You can make your own disk images with
the PCT system software and move files between
ProDOS and the disk images with the transfer.exe
program from the system software.

It was rather nifty for its day. The Tarnover archive
is just starting to accept PCT images, but you can
also get your own XT software to your PCT by
means of null modem between your PC and your
IIGS. Once you get your XT programs to your IIGS,
you then boot the PC Transporter using the system
disk image included with the PCT software. In the
disk image is a transfer.exe program. Invoke it by
typing 'transfer' then follow the menu prompts to
transfer all your XT programs from ProDOS to the
disk image.

You can mount two disk images with the PCT. You
can have your system disk image accessed as the
C drive and create a D drive mounted disk image for
your XT programs. This is good in case you run out
of space in the system disk image.
