Most likely it's just the power supply. The monitor is probably fine. I've seen
Plus power supplies from time to time in the $10 range. They don't weigh much, so
shipping shouldn't be prohibitive. I've fixed these power supplies before, by
resoldering cracked connections. With no fan (thanks to Mr. Jobs' stubbornness - a
problem that he seems determined to bring back with the iMac DV) the power supply
was always the first to go due to expansion/contraction of the solder.

I feel like I have to throw in the standard warning about the potential for high
voltage inside these little puppies. If you even think that you don't know what
you're doing, forget it!
