     Good point! HD 5.25" diskettes just will not work on an Apple II 5.25"
drive. (The formulation of the magnetic coating is significantly
different.) The ones to use are DD/DS  (double density, double-sided).

     If Drew has been trying to format diskettes purchased at the typical
computer stuff store, he is probably using HD diskettes and will run into a
brick wall.  5.25" DD diskettes are not so easy to find as HD.
