More Memory for IIGS

I have a quick question for those in the know.

My ROM 01 GS currently has an Apple 1MB memory expansion board (which is full). 
I'd like to upgrade the machine to 4MB and was curious if I could just pop in
larger chips on the 1MB board (replacing the 16k chips) or if I have to go get a
separate card to replace the 1MB card.  My guess is that I need a different
card.

If so, can anyone recommend one?  I've been out of the Apple II loop for a while
...
