My original Bondi Blue iMac has solder connections on the motherboard for
both ADB and Apple floppy drive. All that's needed for the floppy is to
solder on the 20 pin header (same as the Apple II has used since 1978!) and
plug in a drive. The ADB just needs the miniDIN connector and a couple of
passive components. They work with no other modification i.e. there is even
support in ROM for them. Or there was, it may have been removed in ROM
updates.
