I rather like the 65802 variant. It offers the 16 bit accumulator and
a few other options which the 6502 should have had. I don't really
mind the limited memory range as long as I have other options such as
overlays or bank switching.

Which brings up one of my biggest gripes about the MS systems. Many
of the programmers are sloppy. They have so many resources available
to them that they aren't forced to write strict, clean code such as
required on a 6502 system. Apple2 programmers really had it together.
