I haven't used a III monitor in a while, but I think it depends on
the type. As long as the monitor uses a composite input, it will
work, but maybe only at 40 columns. In which case you are just as
well off using a television.

Don't attempt to connect anything but the specified parts to the
video connector on the //c. You could easily damage the mother board
beyond repair.

The //c usually requires a better monitor for quality output. Like
the IIe, it will use the low end composite video systems, but the
output is limited and the image may be blurry and hard to see. I
use a Magnavox composite monitor which I've hard for years and it
was designed for 80 column video and hi resolution graphics. It views
well in all modes, even the double hi-res.
