This weekend, I was talking about this IIgs obsolete notice made by Apple on
1/10/2000 - to a friend of mine who happens to be an attorney that works with
copyright software matters. He seems to think that by Apple having made this
public declaration, they have - in essence - opened up the way for the general
public to consider both the hardware and the software within this obsolete
listing to be fair game for modifications, distribution and enhancing such.
Are there any other "Knowledge and Worthy Legal Eagles" out there that care to
comment on this point of view or give your own legal rendering and thoughts on
such matters?
Looking forward to ALL replies on this.
Cheers,
Tom
