You need a special Apple 3.5 800K drive called a Unidisk. The way to tell it
from the more common 3.5" drives is by the location of the eject button. If
it is in the extreme upper right corner of the front plate, it's a Unidisk.
If it's horizontally in line with the disk slot, it's the more ordinary
kind.  The IIc+ can use the ordinary kind, but the IIc is too slow, so they
added the additional circuitry to the Unidisk.
