Now this is incredibly off-topic, but Bose is making questionable
products in the opinion of quite a lot of people. See
rec.audio.high-end for the latest Bose thread.
There's a lot of hype surrounding Bose, largely due to their marketing
(they give salesmen the highest margins) and the fact that they build
speakers that sound great in the shop only. Obviously bass sells, even
if it's a fuzzy one.
