I was using the "Turtlegr" unit in Apple II Pascal back in 1981 (the
first year I used a computer), and I'm pretty sure it was there in the
first release (1979?). I don't know whether the TurtleGraphics unit was
a feature specific to the Apple II implementation of UCSD Pascal, or was
a standard feature from UCSD's original version.
Apple II Logo didn't appear until at least 1983, though the language
itself may have been around on other platforms for a while before that,
and I would expect "turtle graphics" to be a standard feature of other
implementations.
Anyone know more about the history of these environments?
