Most games don't care about the date. Heck, most software for the
Apple II, II+, IIe, and IIc never cared about the date since there
was no builtin RTC anyway. DOS 3.3 never bothered with dating.

Even software that does care about the date (ProDOS) usually had
it wrong anyway because people without RTC's would not bother to
set the date and time when they booted up.

I could go fire up my IIc and as usual it will believe the date is
January 1st, 1980. I have no problem with that.

"Eh? What? Date? What's that and why should I care?" :)
