But it doesn't. As far as ProDOS is concerned, the year is between 0 and 
99. There is no trick to extract the current century from ProDOS.
The only difference between pre-TN28 and post-TN28 ProDOS is that *if* 
the computer has a clock with 4 digits for the year, the older version 
subtracts 1900, and the newer version does a MOD 100.

Therefore I postulate that the older ProDOS will break after 2027, while 
the newer ProDOS will always keep on displaying the year correctly 
(albeit in two digits), provided the clock hardware does not have 
problems.
This is one of the reasons I think the 0-127 patch is not a good idea. 
And if programs do not adhere to the TN28 standard (like sorting 
wrongly), this is the program's fault, not the OS'.
