Re: People still use AppleIIs?
After reading this post, I'm shocked that *I* didn't write it. My work
machine is a dual Pentium III, though. Other than that, everything fits
my situation perfectly.
I have bought about 5 IIgs systems. Using the best parts of each, I now
have a ROM 3 in a pretty decent case, a real IIgs keyboard, a few drives
(3.5 and 5.25) in decent shape. I also just added a new Focus 340MB
hard drive and 8MB RAM card from Alltech Electronics as well.
Oh, and I almost forgot the 14.4 modem I picked up at a local Mac
store's going-out-of-business sale. The hard drive came with Marinetti
2.0 so I just had to get a modem to test it out. Seems to work
well...just only comes with a Telnet client. I'm working on an HTTP
downloader right now.
Right now I'm anxiously awaiting my copies of ORCA/M and ORCA/C from
Byte Works.
Fun stuff!!
