Indeed they are, and indeed they do. :-)

Personally, I use my IIGS daily for telecommunications (Spectrum),
record-keeping (AWGS), word-processing (Hermes and WordWorks Pro),
desktop-publishing, game-playing, etc. And for those of you who don't
already this, I publish a quarterly newsletter (Juiced.GS) devoted to
the joys of the IIGS, all from the comfort of my 5.25-meg RAM IIGS with
340-meg Focus Drive (and Iomega ZIP drive) and ZipGS 8/16 accelerator.
My pages are produced in GraphicWriter III 2.1 and proofs are printed on
a DeskJet 600c using Harmonie drivers.

I'm having a blast!!
