Mastery Development software broken by Y2K?

There is a setup for networking Apple IIE and GS using a GS (or perhaps
even a IIE) as a server that was sold by a company called "Mastery
Development". We have two in local schools. These will no longer boot
all the way up to where the server program will scan the network or
recognize the workstations.

The IIGS that operates as the server has the correct date and time.
Apparently the software doesn't read it or doesn't know how to run.

We called the company. They said to set the clock/date back. We did
that...it still doesn't work. I think the software saves the date it
ran last, as it uses it to track when the last backup was made. I
suspect that is why it won't run after the date is set back? However,
none of us have any information on where/how that date is saved or how
to clear it?

Ideas/suggestions?

Please email responses...I don't get here every day. Thanks in advance.
