Not quite. The IIGS can use HFS, so that's not the problem
(it can't boot from an HFS volume, but it can format, read,
and write to one). The main partitions of my 1GB hard drive
are HFS. It would be a nightmare if I had to only use ProDOS.
The real reason the floppy port drive can't be used on the
IIGS is that it is not compatible with the IIGS floppy port.
