If you don't have any 5.25 drives, then 5.25 drive polling is
not causing the problem. Do you have UniDisk 3.5 drives
by any chance? They also click. If you do have UniDisk
3.5 drives, there is a way to (reversably) turn them into
Apple 3.5 drives. That way they stop clicking and they
will be faster too.
