Help needed for simple Mac to IIgs question

Hello,

I have a Mac Performa 578 which I Appletalk with my IIci and SE on a
regular basis as they share printers.  I have a file that is greater than
1 MB (.shk) which I need to get to my IIgs for using.  I know that I can
use a hard drive or Zip drive but I left them at my dorm room.  Can
someone l please explain how I would either (1) Appletalk between my IIgs
and Macs or (2) set up a null modem connection so that I may transfer that
bulky file.  I have tried to convert to it binhex and split it up into
700K pieces and re-assemble and GSCII it but no word processor I have can
work with such big text files.  (yes, it was futile to boil water in a pot
with lighter)
