What software is giving you this message? I suspect it is Copy II+, and
it is perfectly normal.
The /RAM volume is only present if the machine has auxiliary memory,
i.e. a IIe must have an extended 80-column card in the auxiliary slot,
giving it the extra 64K RAM. Auxiliary memory is always present on a
IIgs, IIc or Laser.
Any application which wants to use auxiliary memory for its own purposes
can disable the /RAM volume using a documented method, and reconnect it
when you quit from the application. Copy II+ normally does this. It
still lists the /RAM volume (though I'm not sure why), describing it as
DISCONNECTED, because it isn't available while you're running Copy II+.

I can't answer this one with authority, as I'm not familiar with the
Laser, but I can make an educated guess:
If there is a Focus card in the external slot, and that slot is enabled
as slot 5, then S5,D1 and S5,D2 will be the first two partitions of the
Focus. ProDOS-8 2.0's remapping of SmartPort (e.g. 3.5" drives) to
other slots only remaps to slots which do not contain disk devices.
External 5.25" drives should be appearing in slot 6 in the Laser, if it
is supposed to be as compatible as possible with genuine Apple II
models. (Similar to the IIc.)
