A friend of mine hooked up his inverter he bought at Walmart to an oscilloscope
and found that it outputed square waves. The type that he bought was about
$90.00CAN. I've seen other inverters at electronics stores for about $300.00CAN.
I'm presuming those will output true sinewaves, but I'd make sure before
putting any money down.
