Yes, but I think the drives made by AMR and Applied Engineering
for the Mac and IIGS were every bit as well made as Apples
drives.  The AMR and AE drives also have Sony mechs.  In fact,
I use an AE clone of the Superdrive on my IIGS.  ;-)

The AE drive even looks almost exactly like a Superdrive.
