The NinjaForce Website, CSA2, Labels, etc.!

The following is an email sent to me from Clue of NinjaForce, announcing
their new website and personal domain name.

Date: Friday, November 27th
From: clue@ninjaforce.com
Subj: NOW ONLINE: New Ninjaforce Website
To: joko@crl.com, cturley2@aol.com.....plus many, many others also :)

I'll have to admit, my mind was kind of flashed out - when I noticed the name
and email noted before mine above - when I received their email notice.
I'd guess that's about as close as the two of us have been in or about
anything for a long, looooog time now ;) Kind of feels nice having my email
address next to his too. They say time heals all wounds. That sure would
be nice. As a good friend of mine in Germany says: "I guess we shall see."

Anyway, to get on with the reasons for my making this post.....see below:

Ninjaforce, the makers of the Ninjaforce Megademo
and the upcoming KABOOM! are proud to announce that
their new website is online. It can be found at:

Upon visiting the above website for review of the content and information
offered me, I was deeply moved (to say the least) with the label they placed
on our Apple II Usenet newsgroup: comp.sys.apple2. I suggest everybody who
contributes to helping others by posting on comp.sys.apple2 -- pay a visit
there to see what they labeled it as. It makes a person really proud to be a
regular poster on this CSA2 Usenet newsgroup, doesn't it?

Noted from their Links section of their website pages;

Forums;

Delphi Apple II forum -> The heart of the Apple II community
comp.sys.apple2 -> The big Apple II trashcan
comp.emulators.apple2 -> The forum for Apple II emulators

Gee, fellow CSA2 contributors, how does it feel to know you are a part
of the "The big Apple II trashcan" - as the NinjaForce website - links
page labels it? Personally, I think the label they give to CSA2 - sucks.
True, we do get our share of trash, spam, hate/flame posts and so on.
But, that's really a very small percentage of what the post contents
of this newsgroup consist of. I really don't think calling CSA2 - "The
big Apple II trashcan" is a proper label to give it. Do you?

Oddly enough I noticed the label given to the NijaForce website by the
"The Apple IIgs Gaming Memory Fairway" on the 'What's New' page as:
"Some fun links for you all: Ninjaforce has opened their funky new page
at, oddly enough, www.ninjaforce.com."

"...funky new page". Well, gosh...all these labels, labels, labels on other
A2 website places, newsgroups and so on. It's really interesting to see
what others thoughts are on other sites, newsgroups etc. But, then we
all have our own reasons and rights to make such labels and we all how
our own thoughts on what we perceive those labels as in our own minds
I guess.

Personally such labels as; CSA2 -> "The big Apple II trashcan"
                                          The NinaForce Website -> "...funky
new page"

sort of ruffles up the my sensitivity rather well - with it all. But, then
I guess I'm just being a bit to sensitive on all this labeling of these Apple
II sites, newsgroups and such. I guess you have a point with calling it that
Helix, IMHO. I can relate to it as such myself :)

Speaking of: 'The Apple IIgs Gaming Memory Fairway" on the 'What's New' page"
especially with respect to IIgs Unreleased Games, I was really surprised and
most pleased also - to see the addition of some very rare, unreleased IIgs
games like; Neptune Project, Full Metal Planet (in French) and Vindicator -
plus many more - I'm sure most IIgs users are not aware of. And, they are all
there -> for you to download as emulator disk images and REAL IIgs disks in
ShrinkIt disk archives - with color screen shots and Helix's reviews on each.
Do go check them out!

And, thanks for making them available Helix. I'm sure many IIgs users will be
really thrilled to have such rare and unreleased games to play and enjoy now.

I certainly intend covering all this in detail within the Dec99 issue of GS
WorldView.

What's next for the IIgs users?? I don't know but, Helix, whatever you have to
offer - I'm sure looking forward to it.

Cheers & Best Wishes to All!
Tom
