Guess you mean that you want to attach to a 9-pin joystick socket on the back
of later Apple II's instead of the the 16-pin joystick port socket on the
motherboard.
I don't know if Koala came in an Apple II model with a 9-pin plug. One solution
is to get a 16-pin --> 9-pin adaptor (i.e. the adaptor cable has a 16-pin socket and
goes to a 9-pin plug). One of the Apple II stuff suppliers like B&R or the ARC may
have some.
