(relatively) and Bernie is a low-level emulator which means Bernie has
to deal with block level access and disk controller hardware as well.
An important advantage of Bernie (or so I am told) is that it does access
(write to) the disks. In Dejs ][, AppleWorks 5's File Activities (copy, delete,
etc.), and Disk Activities (format, copy, verify...) do not work. They are
filtered out. Likewise, Bev's Free Patcher does not work with D2. You must
patch on the Apple II, then carry the changed files over to the Mac. All AW 5
file/disk activities, and Bev's Free Patcher, do work with Bernie.
