There was no official explanation, but in my opinion, the
IIc Plus was sold half heartedly.  By this time, Apple
was so un-Apple II that the IIc Plus was the only Apple
II model that was never advertised.  No TV commercials.
No magazine advertisements.

It is a wonder that they even allowed it to be sold in the
US.  Must have slipped past the watchdogs at Apple.
The last little triumpth of the Apple II division.
