The speed is not slightly off.  The Laser works fine with
14.4k modems, unlike flawed IIc units.  The problem is
the serial chip.  Lasers use a different one.  That's why
they do not work with ADT.  For the same reason IIGS
units won't work with ADT.

But like the IIGS, you could plug a Super Serial Card
and get a compatible serial port.

The Laser 128 has a single expansion slot on the left
side.
