A trick question!
Whatever the purpose, the message does show that the poster has been a tad
'out of the loop'.
First, as everyone knows, GS WorldView has been published on-line for
years-- in fact, since 1996. It is not a "new" magazine.
What's new is having a convenient Contents interface. Also, more of the
articles are in html. (They are in plain Text files, too.) The current issue
is at http://www.grin.net/~cturley/gsezine/GS.WorldView/Nov99/ .
As for Dr. Tom's annual Goodbye message, that, of course, was moved up to
this summer as a special treat for Vogon types all bent out of shape about
getting scooped on the KansasFest Report. So, the poster missed out and will
just have to wait until the next millenium.
