I agree with you in that there are times when you can't afford to buy
something for whatever reason.  I was just trying to clarify the
difference between a stand alone application and one that must be run
under a particular environment and to point out that programming in
GSoft BASIC is leaps and bounds better than Applesoft.

However, Applesoft doesn't cost anything so it is nice to play with.
Another nice thing about GSoft is that most Applesoft programs are
easily converted to GSoft.  Heck even programs using Callbox would
probably be quite easy to convert to GSoft so in the future, if you
can afford to pick up GSoft, you can update your programs then.

By the way, I hope your medical condition isn't something too serious
and you have my best wishes for a speedy recovery.
