I managed to get an old AppleNet BBS that I got telnet accessible through
the either the XGS or KEGS emulator (can't remember which).  There was an
option to map the emulated serial port to a tcp (telnet) port on the host
machine.  It worked pretty well.

thank you. I was interested in doing with a real apple IIe. I haven't
succeed right now. Don't know if it is the cable or what else.
What cable scheme it is suggested? There are plenty of various null
modem wiring options.
